New Dollhouse Trailer

A plot synopsis surfaced on Production Weekly:
“The original X-Men film began with a prologue that showed the character as a child being led to a concentration camp by Nazis and that is the period in which the Magneto film will take place. This setup will allow a future villain to at least flirt with the designation of protagonist since the character will be seen almost exclusively in his formative years. The storyline will heavily involve Professor X, the wheelchair-using X-Men leader. That character was a soldier in the allied force that liberated the concentration camps. The professor meets Magneto after the war and while they bond over the realization that they are alike in their special powers, their differences soon turn them into enemies.”
These Origins movies seem pretty neat. I’m looking forward to seeing them, even if they aren’t the Marvel helm completely.
Hooray. Now finally Gen Con can get back to business as usual.

Robb Stark and Grey Wind
You heard that right! One of the most famous series in all of fantasy ever (and especially fantasy of the last 10 years) is coming to HBO as an hour-long TV series!!!
Totally out of place for HBO though… telling the tale of backbiting people with few redeemable characteristics plotting to overthrow and destroy their enemies… Yeah they never like anything like that!
I cannot WAIT to see casting. (Ahem… Tricia Helfer is available for Cersi, HBO, now that BSG is coming to a close.
So the Series is going to be called “A Game Of Thrones”, after the first novel (duh). [Read More on Slashfilm]
The awesome artwork depicted is Robb Stark and Grey Wind, by Jeff Himmelman. ^_^
You know… this book has been sitting on my shelf for over a year… Just haven’t been super excited about zombies lately.

Anyway, they’re turning this “zombie war aftermath” book into a movie, maybe starring Brad Pitt. Paramount sounds damn serious about this; they’ve hired Quantum or Solace director Marc Forster to direct, and Changeling writer J Michael Straczynski to write the script.
So, what’s the verdict? Bang or bust? Should I bother reading the novel?
Yeap… you heard right. Stan Lee is exec producing a TV Series for Showtime that centers around a gay superhero.
Geekvox is a proud gay rights advocate, and thinks that this could be pretty cool if it’s done right and done well.
It’s based on the book “Hero” by Perry Moore. In the series, and up-and-coming superhero struggles to hide his “identities”. Moore is writing the script for the hour-long series. I think this could be awesome and very moving and topical if it is done well. I haven’t read Hero, but I’m interested now!

All I have to say is…
Yes. Hell yes.
